We have now completed our first month of short notice assessments, with 6assessments completed with 24 hours notice provided. Everything has gone well, but as with all new processes, we have lots of learnings and improvements that we will keep making to refine our approach to SNAs.
We have been busy, progressively collecting revised information profiles, operational information and self assessments from all accredited facilities. This will continue over the coming months until we have information for all facilities collected, and then we will reach out on an annual basis to ensure that everything remains current.
While this new assessment model means that you may not have the normal communications that you would have experienced in the lead up to assessments previously, rest assured that we have all currently accredited facilities on our schedule. As per the Commission’s requirements, you will receive a full 24 working hours notice of the assessment.
