We congratulate The Hills Learning Centre who were recently selected as winners in the Children’s Services category in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards. Earlier this year they were also announced as finalists in The Hills Small Business Awards. Both national and local recognition are significant achievements so wanted to highlight their services and what they do in the local community.
The Hills Learning Centre specialises in learning difficulties and special needs, for students 4-18 years of age; providing learning support, mentoring, parent support and developing skills for school readiness.
They specialise in all areas of learning difficulties and special needs including Dyslexia, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) auditory and visual processing disorder, Intellectual Disability.
The following is how they found the certification process helped them.
“It has allowed us to raise our standards/processes and procedures to the next level. It has given us assurance that we are providing the best services. Initially we found the process stressful however very satisfying knowing that we have greatly improved what we started with.
By going through the certification process we have been able to become a credible business and ensure our procedures and processes are of a high standard and compliant against the NSW disability standards so that we can become accessible to the wider community with special needs and disabilities.”
Mary Kerba, Director, The Hills Learning Centre
