INTRODUCING OUR PROGRAM MANAGER FOR HEALTH
Wendy Adams was the first health auditor to join Global-Mark as a Technical Expert/Trainee Auditor in 2005. She has been a registered nurse for over 35 years, with experience in many areas of healthcare including clinical and management roles in both public and private health facilities as well as a number of education roles for undergraduate and post graduate nursing. However, her passion is day procedure centres/day hospitals and in addition to being Director of Nursing for a number of facilities in the past 10 years, she has been an active member in a number of voluntary organizations promoting day surgery in both Australia and Internationally. This has included the role of President of the Australian Day Surgery Nurses Association and the Chair for the Australian Day Surgery Council, as well as representing Australia on the International Association for Ambulatory Surgery between 2009 and 2015.
Thankfully, Wendy loves to travel and endeavours to combine travel for both work and pleasure. She has 2 adult children, a grandson, granddaughter and grandpuppy and a very patient husband who tries to keep up with where she is in the world if he hasn’t managed to join her.
We would like to thank Dana Rowe for her commitment and assistance in the health program during a very difficult time in the last few months before Trish passed away in September 2015, and the first few months following. We appreciate Donna Close for her hard work and assistance, by taking on the role earlier this year when Dana was no longer able to do so.” We are pleased that Wendy Adams has accepted the role of Program Manager – Health, and look forward to introducing the Health team in future newsletters.
