What do you do at Global-Mark?
I have worked for Global-Mark for a number of years as both a Client Manager and a Compliance Officer. My background is in nursing so I mainly work in health assessments with the wonderful health team. I also audit in ISO 9001 program and previously audited in the Attendant Care Standard. It has been an enjoyable journey which has provided a lot of flexibility with my family and has allowed me to meet so many varied and interesting people along the way.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
As we all know there are many aspects of motivation, but it’s the pay packet at the end of the day. The other great motivator is my family. I have an amazing husband and two beautiful children, Daniel and Lily.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I was born in Ireland and moved to Australia in my twenties- most people will know that’s as soon as I speak as I still have an accent.
First programs you worked in?
As I mentioned earlier I am a Registered Nurse so the first program I worked in was Health.
Your biggest achievement at Global-Mark ?
Becoming Lead Auditor in both the ISO 9001 program and the Health program.
What is your favourite movie/book/music and has it changed your view of life?
My favourite movie of all time is “The Wizard of Oz”. This movie was aired without fail every Christmas. It reminds me of my childhood and home.
Where’s your favourite place in the world?
This would have to be Ireland my homeplace. Since moving to Australia I have tried to travel home regularly every 18 months to 2 years taking my kids with me. The long flights were difficult when the kids were babies, but it is easier now. I have a lot of family back in Ireland so I am looking forward to being able to travel again.
Tell us about your family.
As mentioned earlier I have an amazing husband and two beautiful children, Daniel and Lily. We celebrated our 20thwedding anniversary last year- 20 years! Daniel is 14 loves sport, not so much school. Plays soccer, cricket and touch footy. Lily is 11 and also loves sport playing AFL, gymnastics and touch footy. Lily also plays the Piano.Then there is my third child Charlie – our baby, a 3 year old cavoodle who keeps us all in check. We also have three goldfish – Curly, Larry and Moe.
