Specialised Access & Scaffolding is a multi-disciplinary access contractor that specialises in complex scaffolding, rigging and encapsulation projects primarily on the east coast of Australia.
Specialised Access and Scaffolding primarily services the below sectors
- Road & Rail Bridge Maintenance (Blast & Paint)
- Heritage structures (Churches, Bridges, Monuments, Buildings)
- Remedial Construction (flammable cladding replacement, project remediate)
- Road & Rail Bridge Construction (falsework, general access)
- Heavy industry (maintenance + Shutdowns)
- Water/Wastewater industry
- Power generation, (Coal, Gas Hydroelectric Dams) (maintenance + Shutdowns)

2. Can you please provide some top level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?
Specialised Access and Scaffolding originated in 2021 boasting the use of top quality systems including Layher All Round Scaffold and Keder Roof Systems. Shrink wrap and LDBE flooring for high quality encapsulation and seal. MK2 Soldiers, 100 ton super props and a large inventory of rigging equipment. SAAS have a strong work force of over 50 staff across both New South Wales and Queensland metropolitan and remote areas with an office in Sydney and Brisbane. Specialised Access and Scaffolding look to innovative safety equipment to help reduce the risk of injury and provide our work crew with the resources needed for working at heights safely.
3. What motivated you to pursue certification?
Specialised Access and Scaffolding pursued certification to standardise our processes, ensure customer satisfaction, improve consistency and efficiency across the company and expand our reach to prominent organisations both nationally and internationally.
4. What was your experience like when working through the certification process with Global-Mark?
Going through the certification process has given us focus on our goals, we’ve tightened our boots, and look towards a streamlined system that has continued to benefit us with opportunities that wasn’t obtainable precertification.
5. What is the result you’ve achieved, for example, are you satisfied with the result?
We now have a system that is standard practice and improves our operations saving us money, providing a quality product and service for our clients. These achievements has showcased Specialised Access and Scaffolding helping secure major infrastructure projects in Queensland and New South Wales.
6. Have you observed any additional business advantages that arose as a result of achieving certification?
With the certification on hand, we have observed the simplicity of going through what can be lengthy and time consuming tender process, since gaining certification through Global-Mark it’s been as simple as submitting our certification with our IMS and safety stats.
