1. Tell me about your company – what industry you are in and what does your business do?
At Melbourne IVF, a member of Virtus Health, we have a team of fertility specialists and clinics across Melbourne, as well as access to the advanced science to help give people their best possible chance of having a baby.
Our fully integrated network, comprising a collaborative team of fertility specialists, nurses, scientists and counsellors means we can take care of every step of people’s fertility journeys, including tests, IVF procedures and counselling support, as well as a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through our investment into research and development in the field of fertility treatment.
2. Can you please provide some top level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?
Melbourne IVF is part of the Virtus Health group. To date, our doctors have been collectively responsible for the conception of over 50,000 Australians during the past 30 years, half of this country’s IVF conceived population. Melbourne IVF has 8 Fertility Clinics across Victoria, 27+ Fertility Doctors and 50+ Scientists as well as counsellors, care teams, nurses and operational staff, all working together to help people become parents.
3. Why did you go through certification?
Melbourne IVF’s fertility clinics require yearly Reproductive Treatment Accreditation Committee (RTAC) accreditation, to ensure we continue to offer the best possible standards to our patients.
4. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?
We were pleased to welcome Adrianne Pope into the Melbourne IVF clinics. The yearly audit is a time for the teams to showcase the work that they do on a day-to-day basis, and this year was no different. Adrianne was able to spend time engaging with teams across multiple locations and departments and engaged staff in valuable discussions on ensuring our standards of care are kept.
5. What is your outcome e.g. are you happy with the outcome?
The Melbourne IVF team was very pleased to obtain accreditation, a testament to the hard work and dedication from our staff as they endeavour to provide the highest standard of care. Having the audits done each year ensures that we continue to operate at this level, and we look forward to future opportunities to showcase our continued dedication to patient care.
