1. Tell me about your company – what industry you are in and what does your business do?
KL Fertility Centre, a fertility specialist centre devoted exclusively to getting couples with fertility challenges pregnant. We have been providing fertility expertise for over two decades, helping couples have children across three continents. And now we are a part of Australia’s leading IVF group, Monash IVF to offer the latest technology in fertility medicine. Since our establishment, KL Fertility Centre has strived to continuously improve on the fertility specialist treatment provided, and attend to our customers’ needs with the utmost care. At our fertility centre, we also provide support links to help ensure couples make positive changes to their diet and lifestyle to achieve better outcomes.
2. Can you please provide some top level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?
KL Fertility Centre is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Monash IVF Group in Australia and is its first international blueprint in Asia. We are strategically located in the heart of the city centre and within a lifestyle mall and is one of the top 5 IVF units in Malaysia. The clinic has 45 full-time employees including 4 Fertility Specialists and other medical professionals where the clinic size spans over 12,000 sqft with our own daycare ward, operating theatres and IVF laboratory.
3. Why did you go through certification?
An international certification standard outlines the requirements and specifications a product, process or service must meet to ensure its quality is consistent from country to country, and it is essentially important for assisted reproductive technology (ART) units like KL Fertility Centre to demonstrate our commitment to superior professionalism, upholding industry international standards, continued learning and at the same time increase marketability through enhanced credibility.
4. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?
The whole process from registration to the actual external audit process was not only delightful, but it was also a learning and development experience for our whole team. The external auditor, Adrianne was not only very knowledgeable but also sharp in detecting possible gaps in our QMS – qualities that make the certification fair and true.
5. What is your outcome e.g. are you happy with the outcome?
We have engaged Global-Mark as our 3rd party external certifying body since 2015 and are extremely happy with the quality of service provided.
6. Are there any other business benefits you experienced as a result of becoming certified?
In our experience, the certification also made the team more open to discovering possible adverse events and proactive in avoiding the events from happening. This process has given the team a sense of independence and empowerment in their own capacities to increase KL Fertility Centre’s brand positioning.
