1. Tell me about your company – what industry you are in and what does your business do?
Ally Property Services Pty Ltd, trading as Ally Civil, was formed in 2000 to provide a range of civil engineering and construction services, including streetscapes and sport and recreation facilities. Our merge with Scope Contracting Pty Ltd in 2022 extended the services we provide, including pipe laying and industrial construction across NSW, QLD and VIC.
2. Can you please provide some top level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?
Ally Civil currently employs 45 staff members with the head office currently based in Smithfield NSW.
3. What motivated you to pursue certification?
The ISO certification enhances our credibility and provides a competitive edge in securing contracts, demonstrating our commitment to industry standards and best practices, increasing trust with clients and stakeholders. It further ensures high-quality standards, ultimately leading to improved project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
4. What was your experience like when working through the certification process with Global-Mark?
Our experience working with Global-Mark was highly positive. Liz from Global-Mark was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. She provided clear guidance and comprehensive insights, helping us understand and implement the relevant standards effectively. Her thorough audits and constructive feedback enabled us to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with ISO requirements. This collaborative approach not only facilitated a smooth certification process but also enhanced our internal processes.
5. What is the result you’ve achieved, for example, are you satisfied with the result?
We are extremely satisfied with the results of the certification process. We believe that it will help us improve our core processes, resulting in more efficient project delivery and higher quality outcomes for our clients. We believe that this will also enhance the safety of our construction sites and are actively working to minimise our environmental impact through sustainable practices and waste reduction in our projects.
6. Have you observed any additional business advantages that arose as a result of achieving certification?
We anticipate a stronger market position and increased client trust, potentially leading to more contracts and partnerships. The certification may enhance our risk management, reduce operational costs, and improve staff morale and productivity due to clear, standardised procedures. ISO certification may also help us secure higher-value projects by demonstrating our commitment to quality and excellence, making us a more attractive choice for clients seeking reliable and top-tier construction services.
