As we have shared with you in our previous newsletters and information sessions, the deadline for completing the transition/upgrade to ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 is the 15th September 2018, which is VERY SOON. For those of you have already successfully transitioned – congratulations, please bypass this article and enjoy the rest of our newsletter. For anyone who is yet to upgrade to the new standards, we have described the process below in greater detail to ensure that you are abreast of what needs to occur and when. This approach will assist you in ensuring that the required timeframes are met.
- Your management system documentation should have been updated by now, and you need to book a business review with your Client Manager if this has not already been scheduled.
- If you have a post certification or recertification review coming up before the end of the year, we may be able to work with you to bring this review forward to fall within the required timeframe.
- If no regular review activities are scheduled prior the end of 2018, you will likely need to undergo the transition at a special business review – additional to your regular review schedule.
We recommend that the review activities described above need to be completed before early August 2018, in order to avoid missing the deadline. This will ensure that there is ample time for non-conformances raised (if any) to be closed, and it should be kept in mind that this will be a very busy period for our team.
Importantly, if your organisation has not successfully transitioned to the revised standards prior to the 15th September 2018, your certification for quality and/or environmental management systems will no longer be valid, and you will be uncertified until such time as the activities described above have been completed.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHETHER YOU HAVE ALREADY TRANSITIONED TO THE NEW STANDARDS: Please check your certificates
- For Quality Management Systems, your certificate will state ISO9001:2015 or AS/NZS ISO9001:2016
- For Environmental Management Systems, your certificate will state ISO14001:2015 or AS/NZS ISO14001:2016
If you have any additional queries around the process, or are yet to schedule your transition review, please make contact with your Client Manager as soon as possible.
