Happy New Year for those of you who I haven’t been in contact with in 2021.
The Health team are pleased to be back on site where possible for their ISO 9001 audits and returning to their NSQHSS assessments.
Please be reassured that Global-Mark has comprehensive screening protocols in place which commence 14 days prior to the assessment and continues on each day of the assessment to minimise the risk of our visit to your facility. We will also complete any screening on site that you require and adhere to your PPE and social distancing guidelines while on site and all our assessors have completed the mandatory infection and prevention training as requested by the Commission.
In the event that there are travel restrictions in place for your announced assessment, we can conduct our ISO 9001 assessments remotely. However we need to seek approval from the Commission that your NSQHSS assessment is conducted with some members of the team off site. The Commission have been very clear that NSQHSS assessments require at least 50% of their assessors on site and is only possible after the Commission’s review and approval on a case by case basis. As you can imagine, there are still a number of challenges ahead for those of you in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory until the vaccination program has been fully rolled out. Meanwhile, we are trying to source assessors in other states and territories to assist us.
Global-Mark are in the process of reissuing all your NSQHSS certificates with your updated expiry dates and your client managers will be in contact at least 6-8 months prior to your new expiry date to organise your assessment no later than 4 months prior to the new expiry date. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you wish to bring forward your assessment to a month which would be more convenient for your facility.
Finally, on behalf of the Health Team, we wish you and your team the very best.
Wendy Adams,
Global-Mark Chief Nurse
