On February 23rd, 2017 the Human Resources Team working across Lifewise, Airedale Property and Methodist Mission Northern won the national Human Resources New Zealand Award for Human Resources Business Contribution for Small Enterprise / Not for Profit Organisation. The Award’s recognition is a result of a significant amount and quality of work the small HR team of two had achieved over a two year period. Global-Mark are proud to have been a part of their journey.
Our Global-Mark Auditors, Alexandra McQualter and Marc Slade, initially audited the Airedale Property Trust in April 2015 as part of the Community/Social Housing Accreditation process. At that stage, the HR Team consisted of one person who was at the very start of a full transformation journey impacting policies, processes and practices across the Three Trust organisations.
The audit team provided specific feedback and recommendations which were taken on board. Alexandra and Marc returned to reassess the organisation’s progress 18 months later in October 2016. We were so impressed by the progress and impact the HR team had made, that not only did Airedale Property Trust receive full marks on their Social Housing Accreditation assessment areas, Alexandra also expressed how impressed she was by the work of the HR team in particular. This was reflective of the amount and quality of work achieved in the 18 months, to the point that they wouldn’t have thought it was possible to have achieved so much in such a limited space of time.
This acknowledgement by the Global-Mark auditors became the spark that lead to the team’s nomination for a New Zealand Human Resources Award and provided an external measurement of progress within a set timeframe.
We are so pleased to have been a part of facilitating the acknowledgement of the phenomenal efforts of a high performing team making a real difference to their organisation. Congratulations Fiona Masson and Annie Komarinski as well as Airedale Property Trust, you have been a pleasure to work with.
