We are pleased to confirm that Global-Mark is the first certification body to be accredited by JAS-ANZ to the ATIC Scheme 10, and Bluescope the first to achieve certification to AS/NZS 3678: Structural steel – Hot-rolled plates, floorplates and slabs. This is an Australian first and recognises the competence and diligence of the operations.
Herve Michoux, Managing Director of Global-Mark commented: “Congratulations to Bluescope: this is a journey we took together which started many months ago. We are pleased with the outcome, and to confirm that Port Kembla complies with the very strict and detailed requirements, on production and testing set out in the ATIC Scheme 10. For Global-Mark, this is also a new door which opens, and expands our product certification capability. It is a complex, demanding scheme, requiring specific technical expertise, and quarterly monitoring of production. We look forward to State/Territory and Federal Governments updating their purchasing requirements to include ATIC Scheme 10.”
“For us, we wanted to participate in the scheme as soon as we had the opportunity, this is a great Australian initiative that will help steel consumers have confidence the products they purchase are made to Australian Standards. We pride ourselves on manufacturing quality products made to Australian Standards. JAS-ANZ Accredited third party certification further demonstrates our commitment and capability” added Gregory Moffitt from BlueScope.
