1.  Tell me about your company – what industry you are in and what does your business do?

Junglefy are one of Australia’s leading nature-based solutions specialists. We design, construct and maintain green walls, green roofs and green facades.

Our mission is to cultivate critical connections between people, places and plants and through our potent combination of science, technology and engineering, we unlock the power of nature, to help communities thrive.

2. Can you please provide some top level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?

Junglefy employ approximately 30 full time staff across Design, Construction, Maintenance, Nursery operations, Sales & Marketing, Admin & Finance and Executives. We are Sydney based but also have smaller maintenance teams in Melbourne and Adelaide to service our interstate projects. We’ve created projects across Australia in NSW, VIC, SA, ACT, TAS, QLD.

3.  Why did you go through certification?

Junglefy undergo the voluntary ISO certification to ensure that our operations and projects are completed under the highest safety and quality standards every time. When clients work with us, they have assurance in the work we do and the standards that we adhere to through our ISO certification.

By operating under these global standards, we are setting a high benchmark for the industry and hope that this drives the adoption of ISO certification and propels the living infrastructure industry forward.

4. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?

Working with Global-Mark as our third-party certifier for our ISO is critical to our success. Working with them is an efficient, easy and proactive process. They enable us to stay up-to-date on changes whilst holding us accountable for meeting all requirements.

5. What is your outcome e.g. are you happy with the outcome?

There have been multiple business benefits to being certified, the obvious is it allows us to work with and win business with other companies who are also ISO certified or require third party certification. From an internal perspective it enables us to operate more efficiently and safely, which is something we communicate for both a recruitment and retention of talent. People want to work for companies that have this kind of third-party certification, it gives them confidence that we are a credible business, doing everything we can to keep people working efficiently, safely and reducing our impact on the environment.

6. Are there any other business benefits you experienced as a result of becoming certified?

Our ISO certification provides our clients with assurance and confidence that we have implemented quality procedures and standards to which we run our business. These standards provide safety for our team and other suppliers we work with, plus they provide a rigorous standard that we adhere to with every project to ensure the work is of exceptional quality. Every project follows so the same process, so the client has consistency with the same experience every time.

As Junglefy is involved with more Tier 1 projects, we are finding that a requirement of tendering on the job is to be ISO certified. Our ISO certifications provide a significant advantage and helps to make the tender process a lot quicker and simpler as our processes and systems have been previously audited and verified.
