What is the GP Accreditation program?
General practice accreditation is voluntary in Australia and is designed to support systems to improve the quality of care for patients attending accredited general practices. Accreditation is a key criterion for access to financial incentives via the Department of Health’s (the Department) Practice Incentive Program (PIP). The National General Practice Accreditation Scheme is endorsed by the Australian Government Department of Health.
Who is it for?
Global-Mark offers a certification scheme which is open to all practices in Australia and does not discriminate.
Meet Melissa Williams
Melissa has extensive experience in project management in health programs in the primary health care sector, including having previously worked in a Primary Health Network and State Based Organisation. Over the last 15 years Melissa has been involved in accreditation programs with a focus on quality improvement initiatives for the past 7 years, including a significant focus on designing processes to accord with the RACGP Standards. Melissa has skills in the areas of accreditation, quality improvement methodology and tools, data analysis and reporting, project management and training design and implementation.
