The WaterMark Administration have advised us that the following WaterMark Technical Specifications have been approved for publication and adoption into the WaterMark Scheme:
New WMTS-530:2020 Water meters with integral shut off valve.
- The Scope of this technical specification sets out the requirements for aniline water meter with an integral shut off valve for installation into an existing service valve. The meter may be installed in cold or hot water service pipelines.
- A water meter that complies with this standard is intended for installation downstream of the network utility operator’s property water meter.
Revised WMTS-040:2021 – Waste pipe connection outlets and gratings, separate or integral
- The revision of this technical specification was made to include additional materials and to amend references to secondary specifications.
- The 2018 version of this Specification is listed in the WaterMark Product Database and will remain for 12 months from the date of this correspondence to provide sufficient time for products to be re-evaluated to the new 2021 version.
- Both WMTS-530:2020 and WMTS-040:2021 have been published on the ABCB Website, and listed in the WaterMark Product Database, and will be included in the next revision of the Schedule of Products.
Please note that the ABCB has updated the Guidance Notice on WaterMark certification requirements during the period impacted by the COVID-19 (Caronavirus) global pandemic. The document has been prepared in consultation with JAS-ANZ.
Download the updated Guidance Notice on WaterMark certification requirements – Key updates under the heading of ‘Guidance’, to the version circulated on 12 April 2020, are as follows:
- Clause 8.5.1 I. a) –allowance of remote ICT on-site assessments
- Clause 8.5.1 I. b) –new paragraph added to allow a further 12 month extension providing re-evaluation testing is completed and a remote ICT on-site assessment has been conducted
- Annex A –4. Guidance –amended wording in paragraph after e) stating that the remote ICT tool may not be a reliable substitute for in-person witnessing of factory processes critical to product conformity
- Annex A –4. Guidance –new first dot point regarding a detailed floor plan of the manufacturing plant prior to the remote ICT assessment.
The guidance provided is applicable from today until revoked or amended by the ABCB.
